Compositions of Photography: Diagonal Line

Diagonal Line

The diagonal line composition is more of a unique option. It makes it more of an unstable shot, and gives a dynamic/creative aspect to the shot.

- Ansel Adams

The diagonal lines in this shot gives a dynamic to the field. The colours - the light dividing black diagonal line that goes opposite to the diagonal lines that meet at the line gives the shot a more creative aspect, and the shot can feel quite unstable, depending on where you look. The diagonal lines in the sand also curve round, giving it another layer of complexity, and the lines, being sand, are of different widths, again adding to the uniqueness of the shot.
